Last summer I had an extra pair of jeggings that I purchased at Forever 21 for a relatively good price and decided to chop them up to create a pair of weekend shorts. I’m really not a big sewing fan, so I figured I could cut them long enough so that I could roll them to get rid of any jagged or uneven edges. I put the jeans on and marked with an eraser where I needed to make the cuts so that both of the legs would be relatively even.
I was able to cut through the jean pretty easily with the scissors and the jean made a really clean fray, so in the future I determined that I can wear them rolled or unrolled. I prefer to keep them rolled just for a bit of a cleaner look, especially with the black jean.
Here is the before
And the after
Who said that “jorts” was a negative term for men in tight jean shorts? I say rock the jorts and make them your own!
